Regional Development Director

JOB STATUS: Fulltime position with benefits

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Development

PURPOSE: As a representative for Luis Palau and the team, you will work to cultivate relationships and encourage financial partnerships throughout a specified territory. You will help cast the vision for future outreach, educate individuals on ministry, and challenge ministry friends to financial involvement with the Luis Palau Association.

REGION: Texas or the East Coast

The individual who will be successful in the role of the Regional Development Director must have the following characteristics:

PERSONAL/SPIRITUAL:

  1. Maintain a close, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  2. Be able to clearly acknowledge and affirm their relationship with Jesus Christ; professing a mature commitment of faith and reflecting a Christ-centered life in words and deeds
  3. Have a thorough understanding of biblical teaching on the subject of stewardship and giving

PROFESSIONAL:

  1. Show a proven track record (minimum of 5 years) of success in fundraising and/or sales
  2. Possess an innate ability and desire to develop and nurture mutually beneficial relationships for LPA
  3. Be familiar with planned giving concepts and instruments
  4. Possess an aptitude for asking for financial support
  5. Have a high level of focus and self-motivation
  6. Be able and willing to travel at least 40 percent of the time

ORGANIZATIONAL:

  1. Have the flexibility and self motivation to manage a large workload
  2. Be able to effectively communicate vision and opportunity to constituents
