What Is the Season of Service and How Is It Different?

Why a Season of Service?

Many churches are already serving their communities through service projects. But by building upon the unity, collaboration, and publicity that a Palau festival brings to a city, the Season of Service opens more opportunities for more partnerships, as well as a greater platform for being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. The Season of Service is designed for sustainability so that partnerships and community service may continue long after the festival event.

“What's exciting about the Season of Service is the groundwork that is established for sustainable community impact. We do it because of Jesus Christ whose name is clearly proclaimed at the festival, and whose love continues to be shown through service.”
– Kevin Palau, LPA Executive Vice President

“The message never changes. That's sacred. But the methods? The methods will always change. We care too much about the lost to not try anything and everything to bring them to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.”
– Luis Palau

With your help, the Season of Service can flourish. This generation can be reached for Jesus Christ. And we can participate together in meeting the physical, urgent needs of our world. As Jesus said, “…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).
