TIME Magazine once referred to it as "the new pornography." They meant it as the taboo topic everybody was thinking about and no one wanted to talk about. And what was it? Death. 

Of course, that has changed today. Books are written on the topic and people speak openly about it. But in a world where people do not know Jesus Christ, misinformation is everywhere and the fear is real. 

That's why I declare God's truth to you now. The fact is that God created you and me and all people for eternal life. There is life after death, and heaven awaits all who believe in His son Jesus Christ (John 3:16). This truth is repeated in Scripture, particularly throughout the gospel of John.

We know that the penalty for our sin is death, but that God's gift to us is eternal life in His son Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). God did not create life to end in death; He created life to last forever. Death is the enemy. We all hate it, and rightly so. Death is the last enemy that God will destroy (1 Corinthians 15:26). In the meantime, while death remains a reality for us, we receive God's promise and live with the hope of heaven. If someone asks, "Do you know where you're going after you die?" you don't have to wonder. In fact, you were made to know that you will live eternally with the Father in heaven.
