Awakening Hope Along the North Devon Coast

Awaken North Devon marks a significant Gospel initiative along the UK coastline, centred in the historic harbour town of Ilfracombe. While known for its natural beauty, Victorian heritage, and growing arts scene, Ilfracombe also experiences high levels of deprivation and hidden poverty. In response, local churches have come together in faith, believing God is calling them to ensure that everyone in their community has the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.

From July 6-12, 2026, Palau UK, led by Andrew, will partner with these churches to engage Ilfracombe and the surrounding areas with the Good News of Jesus. A central focus of the week will be school outreaches, with bands such as LZ7 and Saintz working in local secondary schools through creative workshops and lessons, culminating in a free youth concert at the local theatre.

Throughout the week, outreach teams will serve the community through practical acts of love, prayer, and personal invitation. Engaging evangelistic events—including community lunches, a family fun day, and an evening of music and comedy where Andrew will share his story—will create space for people of all ages to encounter Christ. The mission will conclude with a united church celebration service at the Landmark Theatre. We are believing for lasting transformation across North Devon.
