Sharing the Good News in Klamath Falls, Oregon…

Rejoice with us for how God moved at the Klamath County Fairgrounds! After years of active preparation and prayer, thousands came out for Greater Klamath CityFest with Andrew Palau, a free evangelistic Festival on May 27.

Over 50 churches partnered together to serve the region and proclaim a powerful message of hope in Jesus through multiple evangelistic gatherings, training events, and community service initiatives.

More than 10,300 people were reached with a message of hope during the one-day festival at the Klamath Falls Fair Grounds. In addition, Andrew and Wendy Palau led multiple outreaches and gatherings throughout the region during "festival week," including a gathering for young athletes, a dinner for local men from the community, and two gatherings for women led by Wendy Palau. In total, Greater Klamath CityFest brought the team in front of more than 13,300 men, women, and children – including outreaches at local prisons, gatherings at schools, and meals throughout the city.

Greater Klamath CityFest on May 27 featured award-winning artists Newsboys, Ryan Stevenson, and Marisol Park. There was a special kids outreach (in partnership with Kids Blitz), an amazing family fun zone including a mechanical bull, carnival games, a petting zoo, a gaming tent, pony rides, and more, an action sports demonstration (in partnership with The Stunt Dudes), and multiple presentations of the Gospel throughout the day. In the evening, Andrew shared a clear Gospel message with those in the crowd. With much encouragement to give their lives to Jesus Christ, we saw more than 600 people accept that invitation and respond to the Gospel.

Please continue praying for these people as the local churches follow up with each individual who indicated a decision for Jesus Christ. Local church leaders from all around the Klamath region have started to personally reach out to each and every individual who responded to the Gospel, inviting them into community and giving them resources to continue to deepen their faith and grow their relationship with God.

With Greater Klamath CityFest acting as a catalyst, the movement has also been providing opportunities for the churches of the Greater Klamath region to set aside differences and unite in service. In an effort that has come to be known as CityServe, the churches are focusing on several areas of need, including homelessness, youth and family, and cleanup and restoration. For more information about CityServe, visit www.klamathcityfest.org/cityserve.

While local leaders continue in this effort, the Palau Association will move on to support similar campaigns in cities across the globe. Upcoming initiatives include Nairobi, Kenya; Cairo, Egypt; Montevideo, Uruguay.
